Ingredients:

• 5 to 6 – Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – tamarind, tightly packed
• As required – salt
• 2 tbsp – onion, chopped
• To temper:
• 2 tsp – oil
• 3/4 tsp – mustard
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• Few – Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Grind red chillies, tamarind and salt with 1/4 cup of water, until very smooth. Transfer to a bowl.
  2. Temper with the, ingredients for tempering.
  3. Add onion and fry, till golden brown.
  4. Mix it to the chutney we ground.
  5. Enjoy as an accompaniment with rice or idly.
