Ingredients:

• 1 – tomato, chopped
• 1 – brinjal, chopped
• 1 – potato, chopped
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 8 to 9 – beans
• 1/2 cup – tur dal
• 2 to 3 tsp – Tamarind juice or paste
• 2 tsps – saaru powder
• Red Chilli powder – to taste
• Chopped Coriander leaves
• Oil
• 1 tsp – mustard
• 1 tsp – cumin
• Curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• Water as needed

Method:

  1. Cook tomato, potato, beans, brinjal with tur dal, a bit of tamarind juice or paste, salt, water and 1 tsp of saaru powder.
  2. Saute in a pan curry leaves, mustard, cumin and onions.
  3. Now, add the boiled vegetable with vegetable stock.
  4. Add the remaining tamarind juice or paste. Stir well.
  5. Add some more saaru powder, red chilli powder and stir well.
  6. Add the chopped coriander leaves and cook well.
  7. Add ghee to enhance the taste.
  8. Eat it with rice.
