
Ingredients:
• 2 liters – whole fat Milk
• 2 – cooking apples, peeled and diced into small pieces
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 5 – almonds, thinly slivered
• 5 – pistachios, thinly slivered
• 15 to 20 – strands Saffron
Method:
- Boil milk to reduce to two-third in volume. In another pan, cook both apples and sugar.
- When apples have softened drain.
- Add drained liquid to kheer.
- Boil milk further for 5 minutes, to thicken.
- Add in apple and all other ingredients.
- Cook further for 3-4 minutes.
- Serve hot or very well chilled.
- Garnish with slivers of chopped almonds and pistachios.
