
Ingredients:
• 3 – large cucumbers, peeled and cut into small cubes
• 10 to 12 – medium sized shrimps
• 1 – medium onion, finely chopped
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 – green chilli, slit lengthwise
• 1/2 tsp – veg masala powder (optional)
• Salt, as required
• Oil, as required
Method:
- Shell the shrimp, and marinate in salt and turmeric for 10 minutes.
- Pan fry and keep aside.
- In a wide bottomed, non-stick skillet, heat a tbsp of oil, and add the cumin seeds.
- Once it starts to splutter, add the ginger paste and saute for a minute or so.
- Add onion and chilli and saute till translucent.
- Add turmeric, coriander powder and veg masala powder and fry for 2 minutes or until the raw smell vanishes.
- Add cucumber and salt, mix well with the spices, and cook covered for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Lastly add the fried shrimp; cook for another minute or until all the flavours blend well.
