Ingredients:

• Basmati Rice – 200 gms
• Jeera (Cumin seeds) – 2 tbsp
• Cloves – 5
• Black Peppercorns – 10
• Cashew nuts – 50 gms
• Oil / Ghee – 1 tsp
• Salt

Method:

  1. Wash and soak rice for half an hour in a bowl.
  2. In kadai/wok, add oil/ghee and saute the cumin seeds, cloves and black peppercorns.
  3. Cut the cashewnuts into halves and add in the kadai.
  4. Add the rice and salt as per your taste.
  5. Cook the rice with minimum amount of water.
  6. Serve the rice with any curry.
