Ingredients:
• 8 to 10 – Mutton chops
• 1 cup – thick Curd
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 2.5 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1.5 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 – onion, sliced
• Whole Garam Masala ( a few pieces of bay leaf, dalchini, small cardamom, cloves)
• Deep fried Cashew nuts – ground into a paste
• 5 tbsp – Ghee
Method:
- Heat ghee in a pan. Add the spices for the garam masala.
- When it splutters, add the sliced onions and fry till golden brown.
- Add ginger and garlic paste and fry till fragrant.
- Add the mutton chops and saute.
- In the bowl of curd, add the turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and whisk it. Pour it on the chops.
- Stir for 3 minutes.
- Add the cashew paste and enough water to cover the chops.
- Cover and simmer.
- When it is half-cooked, add salt and stir.
- Cook till done.
