Ingredients:

• 8 to 10 – Mutton chops
• 1 cup – thick Curd
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• 2.5 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1.5 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 – onion, sliced
• Whole Garam Masala ( a few pieces of bay leaf, dalchini, small cardamom, cloves)
• Deep fried Cashew nuts – ground into a paste
• 5 tbsp – Ghee

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan. Add the spices for the garam masala.
  2. When it splutters, add the sliced onions and fry till golden brown.
  3. Add ginger and garlic paste and fry till fragrant.
  4. Add the mutton chops and saute.
  5. In the bowl of curd, add the turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and whisk it. Pour it on the chops.
  6. Stir for 3 minutes.
  7. Add the cashew paste and enough water to cover the chops.
  8. Cover and simmer.
  9. When it is half-cooked, add salt and stir.
  10. Cook till done.
