Singhare ki kadhi is a lovely form of farali kadhi recipe which is savory for your fasting or vrat/upvas. It is much lighter than gram flour kadhi. In this dish, the use of singhare ka atta adds more deliciousness to this dish and it has sour and medium spicy in taste. With singhare ka atta other Ingredients are used such as yogurt, oil or ghee, rock salt and spices like red chilli powder, cinnamon powder, cumin seeds, etc. Try out this delicious recipe today!

Ingredients:

– 1 tablespoon singhare ka atta (water chestnut flour)
– 1/2 cup yogurt
– 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
– 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon powder
– Rock salt to taste
– A pinch of sugar
– 1 cup water
– Few finely chopped coriander leaves

For Tempering

– 1 tablespoon ghee
– 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 dry red chilli
– 4-5 curry leaves

How To Cook?

1. In a medium bowl, whisk the yogurt, water, singhre ka atta, red chilli powder, cinnamon powder, sugar and rock salt together.
2. Place this yogurt mixture to the deep pan and bring it to boil.
3. When it starts boiling lower the heat and let it simmer. Stir it after every 2 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, heat the ghee in another frying pan and once it is hot add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
5. Then add curry leaves and dry red chilli to it.
6. Now, immediately add this tempering to the simmering mixture of yogurt.
7. Let this kadhi simmer again for about 5 minutes.
8. At last when the kadhi is done transfer it to the serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves.
9. Serve this kadhi with sabudana khichadi.
