Ingredients:

• 2 cups – spinach, chopped into fine pieces
• 2 cups – Chickpea flour (senagapindi, besan)
• 1 – small onion, chopped fine or lengthwise (optional)
• some Green chillies
• pinch – Soda
• Cilantro leaves (optional)
• salt – to taste
• oil – 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients except oil to make a thick paste. Do not add too much water. Keep aside.
  2. Pour oil in a pan and when it is hot, take small portions of the batter and drop carefully into the hot oil.
  3. Deep fry until they turn into golden brown.
  4. Then transfer them into a plate lined with a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  5. Repeat the same process with rest of the batter.
  6. Transfer all the deep fried pakodas into a serving plate and enjoy with desired sauce or dip.
