Ingredients:

• Maida – 1.5 cups
• A pinch of salt
• Oil to deep fry
• For Filling:
• Rava (semolina) – 1 cup
• Ghee – 2 tbsp
• Sugar – 1/2 cup
• Water – 1 cup
• Milk – 1/2 cup
• Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. For filling:
  2. Roast rava with ghee. Add sugar, water and milk. Cook till it thickens.
  3. Add cardamom powder. Allow to cool.
  4. Add a pinch of salt to maida and knead it into a soft dough with water.
  5. Take a small portion of dough and flatten on greased palm. Place some rava filling on it. Fold the dough over it and cover completely.
  6. Flatten this ball on a greased plastic sheet like a small, thick puri.
  7. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
