Ingredients:

• 1 cup – besan (gram flour)
• 2 cups – Ghee
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 2 cups – water

Method:

  1. Separate the ghee into two equal parts.
  2. Mix the besan with 1 part of ghee.
  3. The mixture should be without lumps.
  4. Keep the remaining 1 part of ghee aside.
  5. Grease a plate and keep aside.
  6. Pour water in a pan and add sugar to it.
  7. Keep stirring till the syrup reaches 1-string consistency.
  8. Then slowly add the besan and ghee mixture to this syrup.
  9. Keep stirring.
  10. Let it cook over medium flame.
  11. Keep adding the remaining part of ghee to this mixture in small quantities.
  12. Do not stop stirring.
  13. The mixture will start to leave the sides of the pan.
  14. Also the mixture will start turning red at the base.
  15. All this takes 10-15 mins.
  16. At this point, pour it into the greased plate and let it cool.
  17. Cut it into parts and serve.
