Ingredients:

• 50 gms + 20 gms – soya flakes
• 2 tsp – soaked Chana dal
• 2 tsp – Oatmeal / Corn flour
• 2 medium Onions
• 1 medium Carrot
• 4 medium beans
• 2 Green chillies
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 2 tsp – Lime juice or Vinegar
• 2 tsp – soybean oil
• a sprig of Coriander leaves
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak the soya flakes in water for about 5 mins.
  2. Boil Bengal gram dal, soya flakes, finely chopped carrots and beans for 5 mins.
  3. Add unsoaked flakes, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and garam masala to the above. Grind into paste.
  4. Add oatmeal, oil, salt and remaining spices.
  5. Mix well in paste. Let it stand for 1 hour.
  6. Grease your hands. Skew on skewers and grill in the pre-heated OTG for 10 mins at 220 C, occasionally turning them, so that they are evenly brown on all sides.
  7. Serve hot with spring onions and tomato ketchup or pudina chutney.
