Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – Toor Dal
• 1/2 – fresh Coconut
• 10-12 – Green chillies
• 1 pinch – Hing
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak tuvar dal for 2 hours. Grind it coarsely without adding water.
  2. Sprinkle a little water on the tuvar dal and steam it in a pressure cooker for 15 mins.
  3. Add chopped green chillies, salt, shredded coconut and hing to the dal. Mix it well.
  4. Make small balls (small lime sized). Arrange them on an idli stand or cooker container and steam them for 10-12 mins.
  5. You can serve this nucchina unde with moor kolambu or chutney.
