Ingredients:
• 3 – Onions cut in strips
• 1.5 cup – gram flour
• 1 tbsp – Wheat flour
• 6 to 7 – green chillies, finely chopped
• 1/4 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – ajwain seeds
• 2 tbsp – hot oil
• salt to taste
• pinch of Hing
• oil to deep fry
Method:
- Sprinkle salt over onion in a wide bowl. Keep aside for 15-20 mins.
- Add all other ingredients and mix well. Do not add more water.
- The water that oozes out while onion is being marinated is enough. Mix well.
- Heat oil. Drop small lumps of mixture gently into the hot oil.
- Deep-fry on medium heat till golden brown.
- Drain on kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
