Ingredients:

• 4 cups – Rice
• 5 – big Potatoes
• 10 – Green chillies
• 1 – small piece of fresh Ginger
• 1 – stalk of fresh Mint
• 1 tbsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp – Jeera
• 1.5 tbsp – Garam Masala
• salt to taste
• 5 tbsps – oil

Method:

  1. Cook the rice.
  2. Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker, peel the skin and cut into medium sized cubes.
  3. Grind ginger and chillies to a fine paste.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai and add jeera, turmeric powder, ground ginger chilli paste.
  5. Add the cubed potatoes and stir or a minute.
  6. Add salt and garam masala.
  7. Cook for 3 mins.
  8. Mix this curry with the cooked rice and serve with raitha.
