Ingredients:

• 200 g – cashews
• 100 g – chick pea flour (besan)
• 1 tbsp – Rice flour
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• A pinch of Asafoetida (hing)
• salt to taste
• Oil to fry

Method:

  1. Soak the cashews for about 5 mins in cold water and drain them.
  2. Mix besan flour, rice flour, salt, hing, chilli powder and a little heated oil.
  3. Add the wet cashews to the batter. If required, add a little water.
  4. Deep fry them in oil over low heat.
  5. Serve with coffee or tea.
