Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Maida
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 pinch – Turmeric powder
• 1 pinch – Asafoetida
• 2 tbsp – heated oil
• Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Roast maida. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead well.
  2. Cover with a damp cloth and set aside for 10 mins.
  3. Heat oil for frying.
  4. Roll out balls of dough just like rotis but a little thicker.
  5. Cut into diamond shapes and deep fry.
  6. Drain, cool and store in airtight containers.
