 
            Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch – Spinach leaves 
 • 1 cup – gram flour 
 • 1 tbsp – Rice flour 
 • 1 tbsp – plain flour 
 • 1/2 tsp – cumin powder 
 • 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder 
 • 2 – Green chillies 
 • 1 – Garlic flake 
 • 1 – small piece of Ginger 
 • 1 tsp – hot oil 
 • salt to taste 
 • oil to deep fry 
Method:
- Clean spinach, keeping whole leaves sans stem.
- Wipe down any excess moisture, keep aside till required.
- Crush ginger, garlic, chillies to a paste.
- In a deep bowl, mix all flours.
- Add salt, turmeric, ground paste, and a little water.
- Mix into a smooth batter, adding more water if required.
- Add in hot oil, mix.
- Mixture should coat back of spoon evenly.
- Heat oil to deep fry in a frying pan.
- Dip one leaf in batter and drop into hot oil.
- Repeat with rest of the leaves.
- Fry on medium heat till light golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with ketchup, tamarind chutney or green chutney.
