Ingredients:

• 2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 cup – split green gram (moong dal)
• Spinach (palak)
• 1/2 cup – masoor dal
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 4 – Red Chillies
• 10 – pepper
• salt
• 1 pinch – Haldi
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seed
• Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Soak 1/2 cup of masoor dal and moong dal each for 2 hours.
  2. Boil it with salt and haldi.
  3. Wash spinach, cut into small pieces and boil it separately. Add in the dal.
  4. Fry in 1 tbsp oil, 2 tsp urad dal, 4 red chillies, 10 pepper. And grind with coconut. Add this to the dal.
  5. Season with mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Can be eaten with rice and papad.
