Ingredients:
• 6 to 8 slices – hilsa fish
• 1.5 tbsps – Mustard Seeds
• 2 to 3 – Green chillies
• 1/4 – grated Coconut
• pinch – Turmeric
• Mustard oil for frying
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
• salt to taste
Method:
- Grind mustard seeds, green chillies, coconut and salt.
- Mix this paste with mustard oil and turmeric.
- Rub the paste over the fish slices.
- Put the fish in a greased dish, cover and cook over steam (this can also be done in a pressure cooker).
- Steam until mustard gives off a sharp aroma.
- Remove and sprinkle with chopped coriander and serve with hot rice.
