Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups – mixed seasonal vegetables
• 1/2 cup – onion, finely chopped
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 1/4 cup – Green peas
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3 to 4 dry Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 1 tsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 piece Cinnamon
• 1 cm piece Ginger
• 8 Cloves Garlic
• 2 tbsp – coriander leaves, chopped
• 1 tbsp – roasted Bengal Gram
• salt to taste
• 3 Cloves
• 3 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Cook vegetables with water, salt and turmeric.
  2. Dry roast chillies, coriander seeds, poppy seeds, cloves and cinnamon and powder them together.
  3. Grind ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, coconut and roasted gram together to a fine paste.
  4. Heat the oil and fry onion till golden brown.
  5. Add the ground paste and fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the powdered Masala and 1 cup of water and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked vegetables and simmer for 3 more minutes.
  8. Serve hot with Poori or Chapatti
  9. The consistency of this dish is like Kurma.
