Ingredients:

• 160 g – Whole Wheat Atta/ Plain flour
• 60 g – Brown sugar
• 150 g – Pitted Dates
• 5 tbsp – Butter
• 1 tbsp – Flax seed ( powdered )
• 2 eggs
• 1.5 tsp – Baking powder
• 1/4 tsp – Bicarbonate of soda
• 1 tsp – Vanilla essence.

Method:

  1. Boil water and add the bicarbonate of soda to it.
  2. Now soak the dates into the boiling water. Cover it and let it rest overnight.
  3. Now beat the butter and sugar in a food processor until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one by one and continue beating it.
  5. Then add the soaked dates with water and keep beating it.
  6. Now add the sifted flour, flax seed powder, baking powder and vanilla essence and continue beating it until it blends completely.
  7. Preheat the oven to 190 degree Celsius.
  8. Divide the mixture equally between greased and lined muffin tray.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool on the wire rack for 5 mins.
  11. Serve warm.
