Ingredients:

• Flan:
• 4 – eggs (separated)
• 4 oz – Icing Sugar
• 4 oz – Plain Flour + 1/2 tsp – Baking Powder OR 4 oz – Self Flour
• 1/2 tsp – Strawberry Essence.
• Filling:
• Fresh strawberries
• Strawberry Jam (warm)
• Whipped Cream
• Sugar
• Chocolate curls to decorate

Method:

  1. Beat egg whites till stiff.
  2. Beat egg yolks and sugar, add essence and add flour, fold in egg whites.
  3. Bake in a greased round pie dish at 200 degree C for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Allow it to cool.
  5. Turn the cake on upside down.
  6. Halve the strawberries and arrange on the cake.
  7. Brush with strawberry jam.
  8. Top it with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
