
Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – small Brinjals
• 1/2 kg – onion, chopped
• 6 flakes – garlic, peeled
• 4 to 6 – dry Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tbsp – oil
• salt, to taste
Method:
- Wash the brinjals and slit into four, keeping it joined at the stalk end.
- Grind onion, garlic, chillies, mustard and cumin to a thick paste. Mix with turmeric and salt.
- Stuff the brinjals with this paste.
- Heat the oil and add brinjals.
- Cook covered on a low flame till done.
- Serve with chapattis or with rice and curry as a side dish.
