Ingredients:

• 8-10 – long, thick Green chillies
• 1/2 – grated fresh Coconut
• 2 tsp – gram powder (besan)
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp -asafoetida powder
• chilly powder
• salt
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 2 tbsp – groundnut oil

Method:

  1. Wash chillies and wipe it dry. Do not remove stems of chillies.
  2. Cut on one side only, leaving approx. 1 cm portion on each end.
  3. Remove all seeds from each chilly.
  4. Mix grated coconut, turmeric powder, asafoetida, cumin seeds, salt, chilly powder and besan together without using water.
  5. Stuff this mixture in the chillies.
  6. Add oil for heating in a fry pan (tawa) and keep stuffed chillies.| |Sprinkle little oil on it, cover them and allow to cook on low flame for 20-30 mins.
  7. Serve them with hot chapatti or rice.
