Ingredients:

• 1 cup – mango, grated
• 3/4 cup – Honey
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1/4 tsp – salt

Method:

  1. Heat oil and let the mustard seeds splutter.
  2. Immediately add grated mango, saute for few minutes, and add the red chilli powder and salt.
  3. Cook for a few seconds, add half a cup of water and cook until the mango is half cooked.
  4. Finally add the honey and cook until the thokku turns thick.
  5. Once cooled, transfer it to a bottle and store at room temperature.
  6. This keeps for 2-3 days, longer if refrigerated.
