
Ingredients:
• 2.5 cups – flour
• 150 ml – shortening (fat)
• 1.5 cups – Sugar
• 3/4 cup – Milk
• 3 eggs
• 2 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tbsp – grated Orange peel
• 1.5 tsp – grated Lemon peel
• 2.5 tsps – baking powder
• 3/4 tsp – salt
Method:
- Combine shortening, orange and lemon peel.
- Mix well and add sugar.
- Mix until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one by one, beating well after each addition.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add to the creamed mixture alternately with lemon juice and milk.
- Beat after each addition until smooth.
- Bake in a paper-lined round pan, in moderate heat at 375 degree F for 25-30 mins till the cake turns yellowish brown.
