Ingredients:

• 1 cup – flour
• 1 cup – rolled oats
• 1/2 cup – Butter or margarine, softened
• 1/3 cup – light Brown sugar
• 1/4 tsp – baking powder
• 1/8 tsp – salt
• 3/4 cup – Strawberry jam

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
  2. In a large bowl, mix everything together except strawberry jam.
  3. Measure out 2 cups of this mixture. Leave the rest in the bowl and set a aside.
  4. Press 2 cups of the mixture into the base of the pan, covering entirely.
  5. Using a large spoon, spread the strawberry jam, evenly all over the mixture.
  6. Take the mixture that is left in the bowl and spread it over the strawberry jam, pressing it lightly.
  7. Bake for 25 mins.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool for 15 mins.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
