
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – wheat flour
• 3/4th cup – Jaggery
• Water
• A few pinches of – Cardamom powder
• 1 tbsp – Ghee
• Oil to fry
• Powdered Almond – to garnish
Method:
- Heat jaggery in just enough water, dissolve it and strain.
- To 1 cup of wheat flour, add the jaggery and mix well with water and make a batter of right consistency.
- Add ghee to the mixture and keep aside for 6 hours.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- Add cardamom powder to the batter and mix well.
- With a ladle pour a ladle full of mixture into the oil. Cook on one side and then using 2 spatulas carefully turn it over and fry other side.
- Fry till edges become brown, remove them to a kitchen towel and then serve in a bowl, garnished with almond powder.
