Ingredients:

• 1 kg – boneless skinless Chicken breast
• Tandoori Marinade:
• 2 cups – plain non-fat yogurt
• 1 onion, chopped coarsely
• 2 Garlic cloves, chopped fine
• 2 tbsp – Lime juice
• 2 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tbsp – ground coriander
• 2 tsp – paprika
• 1 tsp – ground Ginger
• 1/2 tsp – chilli pepper, powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1/2 tsp – ground Cloves
• freshly ground black pepper
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Puree the onion and garlic.
  2. Add the lemon, lime juice, spices, yogurt to the onion, garlic puree and puree again till smooth.
  3. Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture overnight in the refrigerator, turning occasionally.
  4. Prepare a charcoal or wood fire and let it burn down to embers.
  5. Remove the excess marinade and grill for five minutes on each side or until done.
  6. Serve with yogurt cilantro sauce to taste.
