
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – basmati Rice
• 1/2 cup – plain Rice
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 2 – onions, chopped
• 1 – tomato, chopped
• 1 – Garlic
• 1 inch – Ginger
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 1/2 tsp- Poppy Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Dhania powder
• 1 inch stick – Cinnamon
• 5 – Cloves
• 1 tsp – Ghee (optional)
• 3 to 4 tsp – grated fresh Coconut
• 1/2 cup- peas
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• salt to taste
Method:
- Soak rice in water for half an hour.
- Make a smooth puree of coconut, ginger, garlic, poppy seeds, dhania powder, cinnamon, cloves and tomatoes.
- Take oil in a pressure cooker, fry the chopped onions for 2 mins.
- Add chopped tomatoes and saute it for 2-3 mins.
- Add peas and add puree from step 2, let it fry for few more minutes.
- Now add the rice, salt, red chilli powder and 2 cups of water.
- Close the lid of the pressure cooker, after one whistle turn off the stove.
- Wait for the pressure cooker to cool down.
- Now remove the lid, the tomato bath is ready to serve.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves.
