Ingredients:
• 1 cup – tapioca (grated)
• 1/2 cup – peas (fresh/frozen)
• 1/2 cup – urad dhal
• 3 – Green chillies (adjust to your taste)
• 1 inch piece – Ginger (grated)
• 1/2 cup – coriander (finely chopped)
• Curry Leaf
• Salt
• Oil
Method:
- Soak urad dal for 2 hours.
- Cook peas and keep aside.
- Grate tapioca.
- Grind dal and peas separately.
- Now, mix ground dal, peas and grated tapioca.
- Add salt, coriander and curry leaf to the batter.
- Heat oil and make crispy vadas.
- Serve hot with chutney.
- For bonda:
- Add 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp jeera and 1/4 cup grated coconut to the same vada batter and make them in to bonda.
