Ingredients:

• 2 lb- tapioca
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 3 pods – Garlic
• 1/2 tsp -cumin
• 3- Green chillies
• 1/8 tsp – Turmeric
• Curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – Tamarind / Curd
• 1 tsp – Coconut oil
• salt

Method:

  1. Cut the tapioca into pieces that are 2 inches in length and 1/2 inch in thickness. Boil in water.
  2. When the water starts boiling, change the water once and then add more water. Cook till done.
  3. When cooked, drain the water. Keep it aside.
  4. Grind garlic, cumin, green chillies, turmeric and curry leaves into a coarse paste.
  5. In a pan, add the cooked tapioca, the ground paste, a little water and heat. Add tamarind or curd to get a slight sour taste.
  6. When done, add the coconut oil and saute.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
