
Ingredients:
• Rice flour -1 cup
• Onions – 1 big (very finely chopped)
• grated Coconut – 1/4 cup
• Green chillies – 5 to 6
• coriander – little finely chopped
• Jeera – little
• salt to taste
• oil for frying
Method:
- Mix rice flour, salt and jeera. Add onions, green chillies, coconut, coriander and mix well. Add little water to make a very stiff dough.
- Make even sized balls (little bigger than puri balls and smaller than chapatti balls).
- Start heating the oil.
- Take a glossed paper (or plantain leaf or plastic cover).
- Put the balls on it and put 2-3 drops of oil on top of it.
- Flatten the balls and put them in oil.
- Fry till golden brown or lighter.
- Thottidhu is now ready to eat it can be served with curds.
- Note:
- If you want it crisp, then make the thottidhu thin.
