Ingredients:

• Rice flour -1 cup
• Onions – 1 big (very finely chopped)
• grated Coconut – 1/4 cup
• Green chillies – 5 to 6
• coriander – little finely chopped
• Jeera – little
• salt to taste
• oil for frying

Method:

  1. Mix rice flour, salt and jeera. Add onions, green chillies, coconut, coriander and mix well. Add little water to make a very stiff dough.
  2. Make even sized balls (little bigger than puri balls and smaller than chapatti balls).
  3. Start heating the oil.
  4. Take a glossed paper (or plantain leaf or plastic cover).
  5. Put the balls on it and put 2-3 drops of oil on top of it.
  6. Flatten the balls and put them in oil.
  7. Fry till golden brown or lighter.
  8. Thottidhu is now ready to eat it can be served with curds.
  9. Note:
  10. If you want it crisp, then make the thottidhu thin.
