
Ingredients:
• 4 – Onion (long cut)
• 3 – Tomato (cubes)
• 4-5 tbsp – oil
• salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Sugar
• Turmeric powder a pinch
• 1/4 tbsp – Mustard Seeds
• Coriander leaves
• To roast and powder:
• 4 – Red Chillies
• 2 tbsp – Coriander seeds
• 1/4 tbsp – black pepper
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal
• 1 tbsp – Jeera
Method:
- Heat oil and add mustard seeds to it.
- Add the onion to it after the mustard seeds splutters.
- Continue frying till the onions are golden brown.
- Add tomatoes and fry for another 5 mins.
- Add a pinch of turmeric powder, salt (as required), sugar, powdered masala and cook until raw smell disappears.
- Arrange on a serving dish and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
- This curry goes well with chapattis, puris and naans.
