Ingredients:

• 2 cups -Basmati Rice
• One bunch -Spinach leaves.
• One -small Onion finely chopped.
• 6 -7 flakes – Garlic.
• 1 tsp – Chilly powder.
• 1/2 tsp – Coriander powder.
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder.
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin powder.
• 3/4 tsp-Turmeric powder.
• 3/4- tsp powdered cloves.
• 3/4 – tsp Cinnamon powder.
• 2 tsp – Pure Ghee.
• 60 ml – Tamarind Juice.

Method:

  1. Separate the spinach leaves from the stem and grind it in to a paste.
  2. Rinse the rice well in water.
  3. Take a pressure cooker and heat the ghee for 2 mins.
  4. Add onion and garlic and fry it till golden brown.
  5. Add all the powders, one by one, and add rice, ground spinach paste, salt, 3 cups of water.
  6. Keep this for 3 pressure cooker whistles.
  7. Serve hot.
