Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup – Rice (roasted)
• 1/4 cup – Urad Dal (roasted)
• 1. 5 cups – Water
• 1/4 cup – Grated Jaggery
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 3 tbsp – Gingili oil

Method:

  1. Dry roast the rice and urad dal separately until they turn slightly brown.
  2. Grind them as a coarse powder.
  3. Heat the water to boil, add the jaggery and cook until it melts.
  4. Now strain the jaggery syrup and bring it to boil.
  5. Slowly start adding the flours and cardamom powder.
  6. Stir continuously and take care not to form lumps.
  7. Add oil slowly and stir continuously.
  8. Cook on a slow fire for a few minutes until they turn a thick paste.
