Ingredients:

• 1 pack – Tofu (firm or extra firm)
• 2 – Onions (finely chopped)
• 2 – Green chillies (chopped or cut lengthwise)
• 1 – big Tomato (chopped finely)
• 1 – Capsicum (chopped into small cubes)
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder or Paprika
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala
• Salt – to taste
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Cilantro (finely chopped)

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a deep kadai or a non-stick pan. Add finely chopped onions, green chillies and saute them till onion is pink.
  2. Add tomatoes, spices, salt and cook till the masala is well done.
  3. Add capsicum (green pepper) and cook for 1-2 minutes in the masala.
  4. Crumble the tofu into tiny pieces and add to the masala.
  5. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Then add a little chopped cilantro, mix it and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve it in a bowl garnished with chopped cilantro. Serve it with naans, parathas, rotis or bread.
