
Ingredients:
• 300 gm – Pumpkin
• 4 cup – Channa dal
• Turmeric powder – a pinch
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• For seasoning:
• 1 tsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• For Grinding
• 2 tbsp Coconut gratings
• 2 – Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – cumin
• 1 tsp – Rice
Method:
- Cook channa dal in pressure cooker till soft.
- Cut the pumpkin pieces into medium bite size pieces and cook in a heavy bottomed vessel.
- Add salt and turmeric powder and enough water.
- Cook on medium flame till soft. Then add cooked dhal.
- Meanwhile grind the coconut gratings along with red chillies, cumin and rice to a paste.
- Add this to the cooked pumpkin and mix well.
- Season it with mustard seeds, channa dal and curry leaves.
