Ingredients:

• 2 cups – whole meal flour
• 1 1/4 cups – Raisins
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/3 cup – skimmed Milk
• 80 g – poly saturated margarine
• 1 – Egg
• 1/4 tsp – Cinnamon powder

Method:

  1. Sift flour, sugar and cinnamon powder.
  2. Put all the husks from a sifter to a mixing bowl. Rub in margarine.
  3. Make a well in the centre of the ingredients and add skimmed milk, egg and mix quickly into a rough dough.
  4. Do not use a beater. If necessary, add a little more milk to make the dough stiff.
  5. Spoon out a little mixture onto greased patty tins and bake at 190 degree C for 20 mins.
