Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp – Wheat flour
• 1/2 tsp – Ghee
• salt to taste
• 2 cups – water
• sweetened hot Milk as required

Method:

  1. Pour flour into a heavy pan.
  2. Dry roast flour stirring continuously, over low fire.
  3. When the flour turns light golden brown, and exudes a strong aroma, add water.
  4. Stir continuously to avoid the formation of lumps and boil it.
  5. Add ghee, salt and simmer till the liquid is slightly thick, like a pouring sauce.
  6. Take in individual bowls, add hot sweetened milk as per taste (approx 1/4-1/2 cup).
  7. Even raw milk may be added if preferred, then add salt as per taste.
  8. Serve hot with crushed khakras, eaten the way cornflakes is in milk.
  9. Shelf life: best when fresh.
