Ingredients:

• flour (maida) – 2 cups
• Butter – 1/3 cup
• powdered Sugar – 1/4 cup
• baking powder – 2.5 tsp
• Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp
• Milk – 1/3 cup
• salt – 1/2 tsp
• To Sprinkle on Top:
• 1 tbsp – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Cinnamon powder

Method:

  1. Beat butter and sugar together till light.
  2. Combine flour with salt, baking powder and cinnamon powder and stir into the beaten mixture alternately with milk till well blended.
  3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured board to about 1.5 cm thickness.
  4. Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on a greased baking tray.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top.
  6. Bake in a mode oven (180 degrees centigrade) till light brown; about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Cool and store in an air tight container.
