Ingredients:
• 2 cups – lentils
• 2 – large Onions
• 1 tsp – cumin
• 2 tsp – oil
• 1 – Tomato
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1sp – Turmeric powder
• 1 Clove – Garlic
Method:
- Boil the lentils in pressure cooker for about 10 mins (3 whistles at the most).
- Heat oil in a kadai, roast cumin until it turns brown
- Add onions and garlic. Fry until the onions turn brown
- Add tomato and fry until the tomato softens
- To this, add the cooked dal, chilli powder and turmeric
- Simmer for about 5 mins
- Serve with rotis or rice
