Ingredients:

• 2 cups – basmati Rice
• 1/2 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• 1/4 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• pinch of Saffron soaked in 1/4 cup of Milk
• few drops of rose essence
• 4 tbsp – Ghee
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• dry fruits soaked in water
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 2 tbsp – Sugar
• 2 – 3 dry Red Chillies

Method:

  1. Heat ghee, add bay leaves. When they splutter, add rice followed by dry red chillies and cook for 2 – 3 mins.
  2. Add garam masala, nutmeg powder, saffron, dry fruits and add water.
  3. Follow with sugar and salt and let the rice boil.
  4. Cook until rice is done and no water is left. The water should get completely absorbed.
  5. Sprinkle essence.
  6. Serve hot.
