Ingredients:
• 1 medium-sized Chicken chopped into medium-sized pieces
• 3 onions, sliced finely
• 2 tsp – chopped Garlic
• salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – Curd or yogurt
• 2 tomatoes, chopped
• 2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – pepper powder
• 1/2 Turmeric powder
• 1/2 mustard powder or paste
• 1 tsp – chopped Ginger
• 3 tbsp – Vinegar
• 3 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a large pan and saute the chicken till brown.
- Remove and keep aside.
- In the same oil, saute the onions, chopped garlic and chopped ginger till brown.
- Add the chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, mustard powder, pepper powder, and tomatoes and mix well.
- Stir-fry for a few minutes till the tomatoes are soft.
- Add the chicken, salt, curd/yogurt and the vinegar and mix well.
- Add sufficient water and simmer on low heat till the chicken is tender and the gravy is slightly thick.
- Serve with rice or chapattis.
