Ingredients:

• 50 gm – Tuvar dal
• 50 gm – Channa dal
• 50 gm – moong dal
• 50 gm – masoor dal
• 50 gm – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• For Masala:
• 11- red dried chilli (fried in 1 tsp of oil)
• 10 – Garlic Cloves
• For Tadka:
• 1 – onion, medium (finely chopped)
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1 – Tomato
• Green coriander leaves, finely chopped
• Oil

Method:

  1. Soak all the dal together overnight.
  2. Boil it in pressure cooker by adding water, turmeric powder and salt for about 10-15 mins in medium flame.
  3. Make paste of red dried chilli and garlic by grinding it in the blender and adding a little water.
  4. Once dal is done, add the above mixture to it.
  5. For tadka, heat oil, tej patta and onions and fry till brown
  6. Now add tomato, green coriander and mix well with onion and add it to the dal.
  7. Garnish with green coriander and serve.
