Ingredients:

• 2 cups – flaked Rice
• 1 – potato, grated
• 1 – carrot, grated
• 1 – radish, grated
• 1 tbsp – cooked Bengal Gram
• 1 – chopped Green chilli
• 1 tbsp – chopped Spinach
• a pinch – a Asafoetida
• 1/4tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Salt to taste
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – Coriander leaves
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Put flaked rice in a strainer.
  2. Keep it under running water for a minute to soak it. Drain well.
  3. Peel and grate carrot, potato and radish.
  4. Season hot oil in a pan with asafoetida, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  5. Add grated carrot, potato and radish.
  6. Add cooked Bengal gram and chopped green chilli.
  7. Add the flaked rice and salt to taste. Mix well.
  8. Sprinkle lemon juice and serve garnished with coriander leaves.
