• Grated Bottle Gourd – 3 cups
• Milk – 2 cups
• Sugar – 1/2 cup
• Ghee – 5 tbsp
• Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
• Cashew nuts – 2 tbsp, chopped
- Combine bottle gourd with milk and cook till it is soft.
- Add sugar and 4 tbsp of ghee and cook till the mixture becomes a semi-solid lump. Keep stirring as the mixture cooks.
- Add cardamom powder.
- Heat the remaining ghee in a small frying pan and brown the cashew nuts in it.
- Add them to the halva.
- Transfer to a serving dish. Serve hot or cold.
