Ingredients:

• 1 kg – Crab
• 2 – big Onions finely sliced
• 4 – big Tomatoes chopped
• 6 tbsps – oil
• 1 tbsp – chilli powder
• 1 tbsp – Kashmiri chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing
• 1/2 cup – water
• To grind:
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 1 – small piece of Ginger
• 2 – pods of Garlic
• 2 tbsp – Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a vessel.
  2. Fry the sliced onions, curry leaves and green chilli.
  3. When the onions turn brown, add the ground masala, salt, both chilli powders, turmeric powder and fry till the oil separates.
  4. Now add the chopped tomatoes and continue to fry the masala till the tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add the ground coconut paste and mix well.
  6. Add the crabs and water. Cook till crabs are done.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with the chopped coriander.
