Ingredients:

• 2 whole Red Chillies
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric
• 3-4 Black Peppercorns
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/8 tsp Asafoetida
• 3 Cloves
• 1/2 tbsp Dhania seeds
• 1/2 inch Cinnamon stick
• 1/2 tsp Ghee for roasting

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients.
  2. Heat ghee, add ingredients and roast on low flame till crisp and golden. It should give off a strong spicy aroma. Cool.
  3. Pound to a coarse powder, either using a mortar and pestle or dry grind in a mixie
  4. Use as required.
