Ingredients:
• 1 – small cabbage, finely chopped
• 1 – slit Green chilli
• 1-2 – yams, peeled and cubed
• 1 – medium tomato, diced
• 1 – medium Onion – chopped
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Mango powder
• 1/4 tsp – pepper powder
• 1 inch Cinnamon stick
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Olive oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker or any vessel and fry onions till pink.
- Add the cumin and cinnamon – fry for 1 min.
- Add the powder spices and fry well – add very little water if required to avoid burning at the base.
- Add the tomatoes and cook till mildly soft.
- Add the cabbage and yam and stir fry for 2 whole minutes.
- Add salt to taste and 1/4 cup water.
- Pressure cook up to 1 whistle or cook till the yam is soft and done.
